      <image:title>Blog - Form/Design Center - Malmö</image:title>
<image:caption>OATMILKING Rebecka Samualsson Homemade oat milk is, in many aspects, more sustainable than buying both regular cows milk and oat milk in the store. Through making it at home, you don't need to buy any disposable packaging that's transported several miles in big trucks. The home-made oat milk is also 5 times cheaper than in the store, with 3KR per liter! The only think you need is 3 dl oats and 1 L water. Making oat milk at home easily gets messy due to pouring the milk back and forth in different containers, and the amount of dishes for such a simple process is insane. Through straining directly in a funnel with a connectable sieve, you minimize both the number of steps in the process, and the number of dishes used</image:caption>

This piece embodies the designer's concept of "New Simplicity", which involves creating complexity from a small amount of material. This submission also resonated with me because the designer, like me, initially had a career in Finance.</image:caption>

<image:title>Good Things For Everyday Use - Entryway Ensemble</image:title>
<image:caption>This concept piece was designed with the New York City loft-dweller in mind. Many of the most affluent neighborhoods in New York, such as DUMBO, TriBeCa and the Meat Packing District were previously industrial areas. As the city’s economy evolved, artists began to move into the empty buildings, favoring the big windows and high ceilings for a practical work/live lifestyle. Developers subsequently sought to preserve this format, offering open-concept, white box luxury loft residences. This piece is meant to go near the entry of such a home, which often don’t have coat closets. The piece holds everything that a busy New Yorker grabs as they leave in the morning, and the first things that they put down when they return. Coats can be hung on the hanger bar that spans the top, bags can be placed on the slatted shelf, underneath which shoes can be stored. The coopered basket nested in the shelf holds an umbrella, and the drawer is a good place to empty the contents of ones pockets, where they might have keys and a money clip or wallet. The cabinet is an ideal place to leave money for the dog walker or cleaning service, and has plenty of room for doggie bags and other items.</image:caption>
